the farmhouse is an old country building started at the end of the 19th century and gradually modified over the years with further extensions to accommodate all the activities of a farm: vines for winemaking, olive trees and stable animals.

In the last twenty years the farmhouse had been completely abandoned and inexorably heading towards a deterioration that made it no longer habitable, nor suitable for the management of agricultural activities. When it was taken over in 2016, the primary purpose of the new property was to renovate it to make it the headquarters of the "Casa Ilaria" non-profit organization, in order to host groups of children from disadvantaged families by offering weeks of free educational holidays during scheduled weeks of the year. To this end, contacts have been established with other associations/foundations that deal with children from disadvantaged families, in order to define agreements and programs for the children's stay. In elaborating the restructuring project, we decided to invest, in addition to the development of agricultural activities, in non-agricultural activities with the aim of recovering the resources necessary to finance the activities of the non-profit organization and the children's stay in the weeks, at least six, scheduled for the course of the year.

Here, then, is the project and the realization of the "Colli Martani" agritourism business: The total renovation of the farmhouse and the technical choices adopted have followed a precise objective: the well-being and safety of the guests, starting from the air conditioning and ending with the anti-seismic measures. All in the name of eco-sustainability and environmental protection.
